This fine example represents a contemporary reimagining of high-end Ziegler Sultanabad carpets of the 19th Century, handwoven in Iran in high-grade wool – a modern twist on a classic work of design.
It features a grand-scale drawing of muted ochre tones over a soft cornflower blue field, well complimented by the red accents in the design, and framed by a wonderful faded saffron colour border.
