This classic sofa features a deep seat and gently outscrolled armrests.
It retains some of its original H&S monogrammed ticking to the back. Resting on square tapering mahogany legs terminating in spherical castors.
The leg exhibits the maker's stamp for 'Howard & Sons Berners St' - the company's most famous residence.
This model has the same shape as the larger Portarlington sofa, with that quintessential English drawing room feel.
The Howard & Sons name is synonymous with the best in English upholstered furniture. Established in 1820, they were one of the finest furniture firms of the 19th Century and rivalled the likes of Gillows.
Today, their combination of iconic style and luxurious comfort means their sofas and armchairs are still just as desirable.
