Stunning pair of lamps by Marcel Breuer.

These lamps reflect the iconic Art Deco and Bauhaus movements. 

They were designed by Breuer for the Exposition of Modern Industrial and Decorative Arts, which was held in Paris in 1925. 

Composed in brass-plated nickel, with a granite inlay bearing an engraving: 'Paris Exposition 1925, Marcel Breuer.' 

They feature an articulated mechanism with movement up and down as well as a full 360-degree rotation. 

Marcel Breuer was a Hungarian-born modernist architect and furniture designer. From 1920-1928 he studied and then taught at the Bauhaus school of design.

He is remembered as one of the most influential pioneers of the International Style. Breuer's aim was to apply new forms and use new technology and materials to create art that reflected an industrial age.
