Beautiful Meiji period wooden tea tray.

This decorative inlaid marquetry tray dates from the early 20th Century.

It features an attractive mix of oak (English and American varieties), mahogany, and walnut in an intricate geometric pattern.

The central panel is in excellent condition; the black tray surround shows some signs of wear.

A large amount of work would have gone into the production of this striking and interesting piece.
