20th century pair of French green enamel cast metal desk lamps, adjustable in all directions and can be clamped onto any surface. 

Originally designed in 1950 as a workshop light by French general mechanic Jean-Louis Domecq, the name Jielde in French is pronounced gee el day, hence Jielde.
