Mottled Yellow Confit Pot
SKU
DA717275
Charming southern French 19th Century confit pot.
This classic pot has a lovely mottled mustard glaze covering the top portion. This glaze acted as a measuring mark so the household cook knew how deep to bury the pot.
With high lateral handles for lifting out of the ground and patinated exposed pottery to the lower section.
Confit pots are a wonderfully rustic relic from French culinary history. Today, their primitive charm is a great feature in any interior.
