Large 20th Century Chinese Charger
SKU
DA3720682
Large and colourful 20th Century Chinese charger.
This charger is decorated with a peacock, pomegranate, and chrysanthemums on a bright blue background.
The term 'charger' has come from the 13th Century word "Chargeour" which was typically used in England and Scotland to describe a large plate. Originally, chargers were used to serve large roasts or royal feasts but in today's home, they act as fantastic display pieces.
Featuring very little signs of wear, this charger is in great condition for its age and is highly decorative.
