This colourful dish is decorated with a depiction of the tale of 'La Cigale et la Formi' {'The Cicade and the Ant']' one of the fables of Jean de la Fontaine. Summary of the story: A cicada has spent the Summer in song. Winter arrives and he begs an ant, who has worked and made provisions, for food. Sadly, she refuses his request.
