Domaine Mucyn, ‘Les Charmeuses’, Crozes-Hermitage Blanc, 2018.
‘Too often we overlook the whites from the Rhone, favouring the standards – Chablis, Sancerre and Gavi di Gavi. However, this wine deserves attention and it's a stunning match.
As a rule of thumb, I encourage Italian wines for Italian cuisine, such as this polenta dish. However, Charlie’s recipe with leaves and flowers requires a more sophisticated choice.
‘Les Charmeuses’ will charm you with its nose of fresh apricots; the white flowers, fresh and candied fruit and toasty notes on the palate may very well entice you to another glass or two.’
