Large, charming, 18th Century French painting depicting a couple at a table saying grace before their meal.
They sit at a table with a lower cupboard door open revealing a fruit pie. To the rear stands a servant, eyes raised, holding a tray laden with wine and glasses.
Inscribed to the painting "Benisses a mon dieu ces Dons de vosire amour et remelittesnos coeurs de vos graces supremes faittes qua la faveur de ce divin secours. Ne vivani que pour vous. Nous mourions a nous mesmes."
[Translation: Bless, o my God, these gifts of your love and fill our hearts with your supreme graces made solely in favour of this divine help. We live and die only for you.]
Restored and on replaced wooden chassis.
