Large 19th Century Carved Horses Head

Oversized mid 19th Century carved pine horses head.
With flowing mane, startling eyes and carved bridal. On a moulded plinth base.
This rare find was probably used as an advertising or sampling figure by a craftsman creating carousel horses.
Also with removable ears to show a range that was available, as some models of carousel horses featured lead ears.
Circa 1860.
