Large English 19th Century Shop Sign

Wonderful English 19th Century shop front sign.

This single plank sign is of great super long scale. It is hand-painted, with a blue background and greeny-gold lettering with gold leaf accents. 

It was originally used for the shop of an art dealer in Langport, Somerset. His surname 'Hedgecoe' is written on the sign. 

Many years of proud display have aged and weathered this sign to an attractive distressed finish. 

This piece has a lovely personal history and it will bring great character to any home.
