Large and good scale early 19th Century Italian walnut console table. Of architectural design with marble top. 


This fine console or side table was made in Italy at the beginning of the 19th century. 


Retaining its original white and grey veined marble top, the piece is veneered throughout in walnut of beautiful colour and figure. A shaped and elegant frieze is supported by a series of finely carved giltwood capitals. The ebonised columns below leading to a shaped platform stretcher with double concave front. The bases of the columns are also mounted in giltwood. The table stands on attractive turned feet of bulbous toupie form. A very interesting table.
