A beautiful and large scale, pair of mid 19th century buff terracotta Capagna garden urns by J M Blashfield.
Very finely cast with an egg and dart rim, gadrooned body with green man handles and standing on moulded and fluted socle, both stamped on the socle and internally on the bowl ' Published by J. M. Blashfield Stamford, 1868'.
These are model no 153 in their 1857 catalogue, restoration to one urn. English J M Blashfield, circa 1870.
