Late 18th Century Venetian Giltwood Lantern

Large late 18th Century Venetian carved giltwood and painted hanging ships lantern. 

A Naval ship or gondola lantern, hung from a pole at the stern of the vessel. 

With good original gilding and patina and a new six inch gilt metal hanging chain supplied. Fitted with a new electric bulb fitting.
