Late 19th Century Swedish Pine Secretaire with Fall-Front Desk Top
Late 19th Century Swedish secretaire with fall-front desk top.
This style of desk was very popular in the 18th and 19th century in Sweden.
It offers an ingenious array of storage possibilities in a very compact and attractive piece of furniture. Plenty of space for files and folders, stationery, reference books, small items and all the paraphernalia we need to keep up with the dreaded paperwork!
The exterior has been refreshed with a white lime-wash while the interior retains it's original colour.
The fall-front desk top is flat when open and provides good workspace for a laptop. There are two, almost secret, small drawers for those precious love letters!
Circa 1890.
