Fine Late George III English Mahogany Side Table of Exceptional Colour.
This lovely piece, made c.1800, has an overhConsignment Infoanging top with rounded edge moulding above a largely plain frieze. At the top of the legs there are finely carved paterae. The legs are round, tapering and of substantial size with some sparse turnings.
The table has no additional carved or inlaid detail barring some stringing at the base of the frieze. It has fine proportions and the veneers chosen for the top and frieze are exceptionally figured and finely bookmatched.
A lovely piece of English furniture that is a little out of the ordinary in its design and made from the very best timbers available.
