The country stands at the crossroads of various cultures, and its carpets reflect this in their creativity and diversity.
This attractive example dates to the mid-20th Century, and features an unusually minimalist composition in comparison to other examples of its type.
The rich blue colour field has a wonderful abrash, or colour variation, which adds a great sense of depth and character to the stripped-back, reserved drawing, framed by three individual borders.
Retained in very good practical condition for everyday use; a charming piece, with a rare composition that would lend a spacious effect to any room, and compliment a wide variety of spaces.
