19th Century Leather Wing Armchair

Fine quality late Regency / William IV English mahogany armchair.
This armchair has a wonderful classic frame, with tall wings and a deeply recessed curved back that encloses the deep seat.
The armrests are gently outscrolled and the whole rests on turned inverted vase-shaped legs. Retaining original brass cups and castors.
This chair is upholstered in beautifully mellowed old leather, with a buttoned seat cushion and wonderful studding.
The covering has faded and worn with age but is untorn and remains in very usable condition.
This is a great country house armchair with timeless aesthetic appeal.
