Pair of Howard Style Down-Filled Armchairs
SKU
CH2712708
Sumptuous pair of English late 19th Century armchairs, which could represent an early unstamped pair of Howard & Sons ‘Bridgewaters.'
They are certainly of the same size and profile, with the iconic sloping armrests. This pair originally had integral down backs as with the classic Howard model.
They feature the incredibly comfortable 'siège de duvet' upholstery to their integral back and seat cushions. They have been covered in high-quality sage-striped cotton ticking.
The perfect pair for quintessential English living, with turned front legs and brass castors.
Circa 1870.
