17th Century French Walnut Coffer

Wonderful 17th Century large-scale French walnut coffer with mother of pearl inlay.

Having a rectangular hinged top with original ironwork which opens to reveal a candle box to the left and ample storage. This lovely coffer has unusual designs of fish inlaid on the top and the front, with various geometric and circle designs as borders and decoration.

Having original carrying handles to the sides and large dovetail joints joining the sides. Supported by a large plinth base and stands on squashed bun feet.
