The top rests on four turned spindle supports which terminate on four elongated and inverted sabre legs.

Resting on square block feet and brass wheel castors.

Howard & Sons were very prolific cabinet-makers and as well-known as Gillows in terms of quality and style.

Hobbs locks are famed as the best of all time. In the Great Exhibition of 1851, Hobbs was the first to pick Bramah's lock and the Chubb detector lock. They forced their competitors to improve their designs.
