Impressive 19th Century pitch pine bookcase.
Originally from the grand Victorian Institute of Mining in Newcastle upon Tyne, this is a substantial bookcase of unusual form.
The upper section has a Wellington type locking bar to secure the rising doors. The rising doors hide individual shelving areas.
The lower section has six capacious drawers.
This bookcase has great scale and lovely proportions and is great for keeping clutter hidden.
