Regency Mahogany Centre Table
Fine quality English Regency mahogany centre table, circa 1810.
This table is in the manner of George Bullock, who was known for his fine furniture which favoured naturalistic decoration.
Mahogany was the exotic timber of choice during the Regency, and this table has fantastic rich colour and patina.
The circular top has a deeply carved decorative frieze and is supported by a square tapering central support column with chamfered sides.
Terminating on a concave quadriform pedestal base, which is carved with scroll and foliate motifs.
This is a fantastic piece, which would have great presence in any room of the home.
