Dutch 19th Century Oak Linen Press
Wonderful early 19th Century Dutch bleached oak linen press.
This cabinet has a dramatic presence and wonderful large proportions.
It separates into three pieces for ease of transportation. It features a beautifully carved bonnet top with an elaborate central crest featuring plumage, grapes, and scroll details.
To the top, two large doors are adorned with shaped panels that each have their own intricately carved crest. Inside are shelves and an arrangement of small drawers at the bottom.
The bottom section offers three long drawers with a wonderful hipped contour.
This linen press retains decorative metal handles and escutcheons with an attractive verdigris patina.
Resting on deeply carved ball and claw feet.
This is a beautiful country house storage piece with timeless decorative appeal.
