A fabulous mid-C18th French Louis XV giltwood mirror.
The original wonderfully foxed rectangular mercury plate surrounded by a mirrored border with acanthus leaves and C-scrolls. The mirrored crest is centred with a lidded vase surrounded by flowing C-scrolls, further acanthus leaves with flower heads.
The original gilding now beautifully worn. A truly elegant and highly decorative C18th mirror.
