Mid 19th Century French mahogany gueridon. Circa 1840.
This striking piece consists of a slender dark grey marble top, supported by a reeded pedestal and three legs with castors.
Gueridons were small side tables, often with this circular top, which originated in France towards the middle of the 17th Century.
Their popularity flourished in the 19th Century, where they were often topped with marble.
This example features particularly elaborate double 'C' scroll supports, and a superb spiral fluted central baluster support.

Returned stock must be delivered to our warehouse within 14 days, in the same condition it left us. The cost to return will be equal to the original delivery cost and will be deducted from your refund. We do not refund the original delivery cost.
