Juan Gris (1881-1927) A series of six mid-20th century Cubist lithographs in colours numbered 142 from an edition of 220 on Arches paper after gouache paintings c. 1915. Published by Teriade, Paris,1955 Spanish artist, Gris collaborated with his friend, the poet Pierre Reverdy (1889-1960) on a volume of poetry with illustrations – “Au Soleil du Plafond”. The project stalled during World War I and remained unfinished at the time of Gris’s death. These lithographs of Gris’s original still life paintings were published 40 years later. -presented in hand-painted frames with gilt details overall dimensions 51 x 40 x 3 cm.
