Born November 16, 1902 in Le Havre, Louise Jeanne Aline Cottard-Fossey née Cottard (1902-1983) was post-impressionist painter of the French School. A student at the School of Fine Arts in Le Havre, then at the School of Decorative Arts in Paris, she subsequently received advice from the expressionist painter Othon Friesz at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière in Paris.
