Pair of 17th Century French Oil on Canvas Paintings

Pair of early 17th Century French oil paintings on canvas. 

A royal personage in ermine cloak and jewels with a man seeking alms, plus a depiction of the infant Jesus. 

Some basic restoration including a revarnish over paint loss, re-stretching and backing. 

The frames have been strengthened but they do show signs of wear commensurate with age. 

Nevertheless, a captivating pair of paintings of interesting style and still vibrant colour.
