Pair of late 18th Century French toile de Bolbec/Normandy scalloped edged panels, most likely from a set of bed hangings.
A resist block print in a soft madder red with uneven colouring. A woman picking fruit for a seated winged cupid.
Trimmed in a pale silk ribbon on both sides and its petty scalloped hem.
In an as-found antique condition with some small tears and faded marks.
55cm x 255cm 55cm x 258cm.
