Pair of French hand carved cherubs, bearing pennants. Each banner bears the names of famous literary figures. 

On the flag of one puttii is carved the names of Rotrou, Moliere, Voltaire. Rousseau and Lamartine. 

The second celebrates the names of Homer, Shakespeare, Virgil, Le Tasse, and Goethe. These carved figures originally adorned a large bookcase. Both bear some losses that do not detract from their decorative beauty. Dimensions: (1) 49cm h x 9.5cm w x 7cm d (2) 42cm h x 9cm w x 7.5cm d
