Pair of 19th Century Italian Walnut Bedside Cabinets

Pair of 19th Century Italian Walnut Bedside Cabinets in the Empire Taste. 

These cabinets, in the empire taste with severe classical lines, consist of square, overhanging tops above a single drawer set in to a frieze. The figured veneers actually run from one cabinet to the other. The cupboard doors are recessed giving them an inverted breakfront silhouette. 

Below the drawer and below the cupboard are applied gilt metal mounts. Standing on square legs and block feet.
