Pair of Napoleon III (1860-70s) printed cotton curtains originally used as bed hangings on a ciel de lit so that the curtain would have folded back against itself.

A striking and romantic design of bright coloured cooing doves and flower filled baskets on a black ground, contrasting with a patterned stripe of scrolling leaves.

Finished with a wool trim. In good condition.
