Pair of 20th Century Rootwood Cockpit Chairs

Pair of 20th Century Austrian tub chairs.

With a solid rootwood frame, the seats are firmly fixed to the circular base while the back of the chair is completely occupied by the curved backrest.

The main characteristic of the tub shape in armchairs or chairs of this type is the impression that the seat itself wants to surround or embrace us, a pleasant feeling of comfort especially with the sheepskin seat.

They were made in a Vienna workshop between 1930 and 1935.
