Pair Of Arts & Crafts Green Glass Pillar Decanters

Splendid pair of Arts & Crafts apple green, pillar and lens cut glass decanters with original spire stoppers, Circa 1930, by Hill Ouston, England. 

These handsome antique decanters have been carefully crafted and cut to maximum effect with ribbed pillars which have been lens cut. Each decanter has a star cut base and one stopper has been repaired with a clear Victorian era replacement stem which has been cut to fit snugly. 

Hill Ouston of Birmingham specialised in the revival of the finest antique 19th Century glassware styles. They were never intended to deceive since their designs only drew inspiration from 18th and early 19th century originals but then made them look modern for their time.
