Pair of Brass and Glass Side Tables
Stylish pair of brass and glass side tables, by Peter Ghyczy.
These tables feature thick glass tops suspended within a geometric structure of cast brass corner supports. The brass bears Ghyczy's signature logo to each corner.
German designer Ghyczy is an icon of Mid Century Modern furniture design. He first designed a range of pieces for prolific manufacturers, and one of his most distinctive pieces is the Garden Egg Chair he designed for Reuter.
He moved to the Netherlands in the early 1970s and set up his own design studio. Here, he developed a new method of fixing glass to metal and these materials became the focus of his later designs.
