Pair of Rustic French Painted Cupboards

This unusual pair of French painted school cupboards are full of charm and character. Circa 1930. 

Each rustic cupboard has eight cubby holes, each with its own door. They would make a really innovative storage option in any room of the house. 

They have evolved over the years, with some old replacements on the handles and the paint no doubt refreshed at some point.
