Pair of Spanish Gilt Wrought-Iron Floor Lamps
Pair of Spanish gilt wrought-iron floor lamps, of superb quality. Circa 1960.
In the manner of Gilbert Poillerat, these tall standard lamps are beautifully made. Each features a faux candle made with hand-dripped wax and a castellated drip catch.
Stunning gilded decoration adorns the central columns. Each is supported on a wonderful scrolling triform base with leaf pad feet.
Shown with a 50cm diameter shade (for photographic and scale purposes only). The height to the lamp holder is 143cm and to the top of the shade is 176cm. The width of the legs at the base is 41cm. Rewired with antique three-wire silk cord.
