Philip Webb Kelmscott Table by Morris & Co
English 19th Century Kelmscott table by Philip Webb, circa 1870.
Philip Webb was an important part of the Arts and Crafts movement. Webb, alongside William Morris, founded many societies which encouraged the preservation of the arts and architecture.
This table is in a used condition, however, this does not detract from its charm.
Featuring four beautifully turned legs and a stretcher, this table is durable and stable.
It has a fantastic patina that conducts warmth and comfort.
There is a similar table illustrated in "William Morris a Life For Our Times" by Fiona McCarthy, plate 150 which shows it in William Morris's study at Kelmscott House Hammersmith.
A fantastic period piece that will bring a classic charm to both classic and contemporary interiors.
