Regency Papier-mâché Chinoiserie Tray

Regency 19th Century black and gilt tray on stand. 

This tray on a stand is highly decorated with chinoiserie scenes of figures playing instruments in a garden setting, with pagoda buildings, an arch bridge, and a running river underneath in foliate border.

The tray hinged to tilt on an ebonised base with swivel support.

Circa 1820.
