SKU
WD7632973
Set of nine original late 19th Century Japanese woodblock botanical prints on washi paper from “One Hundred Chrysanthemums” by Keika Hasegawa.
Circa 1893 and presented in shadow box frames.
The late 19th-Century Japanese artist Keika Hasegawa remains something of an enigma. Little has been published regarding her dates of birth and death, her training, her wider oeuvre or her processes as a printmaker. Most museums record only that she was active circa 1893-1905. However, "One Hundred Chrysanthemums" is very well known.
