Wonderful late 18th Century Directoire chairs.
Directoire furniture is a stylish testament to a tempestuous period of French history. There was a significant move from the old regime of royal luxury and finances were tight.
Seating was one of the few areas of innovation during the 18th Century, furniture was designed to be light and elegant but still sturdy.
This elegant collection has been painted white with stylish carved arrows to the back splats and chic black leather, gilt-tooled seats have been added to the seats.
The seats also feature the arrow detailing to the corners and are sat proudly on elegant sabre legs.
Good wear and colour commensurate with age.

Returned stock must be delivered to our warehouse within 14 days, in the same condition it left us. The cost to return will be equal to the original delivery cost and will be deducted from your refund. We do not refund the original delivery cost.
