French mirrored surtout de table by Maison Boin-Taburet, Paris.
This elegant surtout de table comprises a silvered bronze edge surrounding the mirror plate and an oak back. It is raised on bun feet. Impressed 'BOINTABURET A PARIS', numbered '3368310' and hallmarked.
Surtout de tables are ornate centrepieces for the formal dining table, on which candelabras and other ornaments can be displayed.
Maison Boin-Taburet (est. 1873) are best-known for reviving Louis XV-style silverware and other decorative objects. The manufacturer won a gold medal at the Paris 1889 Exposition Universelle.
This is a lovely piece that will bring great decorative flair to a dining, coffee or console table.
