17th Century French Folding Table
SKU
TC9011651
A very rustic and characterful 17th Century French pine and fruitwood folding table.
This is a charming example of the French provincial style. In the 17th Century, the necessity for moveable furniture that stemmed from the unrest of the Middle Ages remained a consideration.
This table stands on its original folding base for ease of movement and functionality.
It would have been crafted by a meniusier- French carpenters who created simple pieces of furniture from local wood.
This is the perfect piece for creating the 'shabby chic' feel of rural France in your home.
