Large 20th Century rosewood and tiled top coffee table by Bjørn Wiinblad.

The famous Danish ceramic artist has produced very few tables with this pattern, and each one is unique because the tiles are handmade. With its saturated and strong colours complemented with golden accents, the example available here is iconic for Wiinblad’s work.

Bjørn Wiinblad was a Danish painter, designer and artist working in ceramics, silver, bronze, textiles and graphics. His work was widely exhibited in Europe, the United States of America in 1954, and then in Japan, Australia and Canada in 1968.

Wiinblad was named 'Man of the Year' in New York in 1985 and received the Cultural Award from the Scandinavian-American Foundation in 1995.
