20th Century Kashan Carpet
Timeless 20th Century Kashan carpet signed Isfahanian.
Kashan carpets rank as one of the finest of all Persian carpets. The city of Kashan was the center of fine rug weaving during the 16th-Century Safavid period, and some of the best classical pieces are attributed to it.
High-quality pieces were being woven at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th centuries. This stylish Kashan rug has a highly artistic drawing that is unusually spacious in comparison to a classical weaving of its generation with understated colour composition.
This decorative Kashan carpet is signed by a well-known Master weaver Isfahanian who designed some of the most creative and superior pieces of its era.
A timeless example that is most common in this square format, is in very good practical condition for everyday use.
