Howard & Sons ‘Grantley’ Sofa
Original 19th Century Howard & Sons ‘Grantley’ Sofa, circa 1880.
With high out-swept armrests finished at the same height as the back, the Grantley has less imposing proportions than some of Howard's other sofas - making it a practical choice for today's home.
It is still generous and luxuriously comfortable, however, easily seating two-three people with a very deep seat.
It rests on ebonised fluted and tapering legs which terminate in original stamped brass castors. It also retains its Howard & Sons label.
With integral down-filled back and seat cushions, this sofa has been recovered in the iconic blue 'H&S' monogrammed cotton ticking.
Howard & Sons, established in 1820, were renowned as the best in upholstered furniture during the 19th Century. This legacy continues today, and their combination of optimum comfort with classic design is highly sought after.
This timeless sofa will be a fantastic addition to any interior.
