Large 19th Century Oak Drapers Table
SKU
OF3220099
Large 19th Century washed oak drapers table.
Originally from France, this drapers table was used by a silk merchant. Signs of its use can be seen on the frieze, in the form of small holes that would have supported a hook or rail.
This table is supported on deeply carved architectural legs, and it offers three levels.
The abundant surface area offered by drapers tables, originally used for storing cloth and other materials in the merchant's store, make them a useful and authentic console table.
