Late 18th Century Console Table
Lovely late 18th Century French console table.
This striking table is in its completely original form. It has not been re-painted since the late 1700s so is beautifully timeworn and wonderfully distressed.
Featuring a drawer to the center, this console has room for storing everyday items. The drawer has been mounted with two typical french handles; not original to the piece.
It has a decorative pair of carved tapered legs which both have pronounced paw feet. All terminating on a plinth base.
This console table would have originally have had a small shelving unit attached to the top which would have offered further storage, however, the decorative desirability of this table within today's home is a lot more attractive.
With a beautiful dark colour throughout, this will be a supremely elegant addition to any hallway or living room interior.
